Ep 78. How I Use AI Tools to Support Me (Pt 1)

In this episode, I’m sharing how I use AI (artificial intelligence) tools to support me both at home and in business. As a mom with limited working hours, these tools have saved me valuable time and helped spark creativity.

I’m breaking down the different AI tools I use and how I’m using them for content creation, content repurposing and home activities.

This is part 1 of this topic. Part 2 coming soon!

I know some people are on the fence about using them.

Speaker:

It literally saves me so much time, especially as a

Speaker:

mom, I have very limited working hours. It helps me again, like

Speaker:

I mentioned, spark creativity. And it really just helps me

Speaker:

to continue to get things done. When my

Speaker:

brain is. Fried after a long day,

Speaker:

hey friend, motherhood gets hard,

Speaker:

entrepreneurship gets hard, but together we can do

Speaker:

hard things. This is the Mom CEO Suite.

Speaker:

In the suite, there's no shade and no shaming, just

Speaker:

sharing and support so we can all thrive at this intersection

Speaker:

of motherhood and entrepreneurship. I'm your host,

Speaker:

Phylicia, wife, mom, and entrepreneur. Join

Speaker:

me as I share my journey, challenges, and aha moments.

Speaker:

Along with the experiences and expertise of other

Speaker:

modern day moms in business. Welcome to the suite.

Speaker:

Hey friend, welcome to another episode. Thank you so much for being here. So

Speaker:

today we're talking about how I use AI.

Speaker:

Or artificial intelligence tools to support

Speaker:

me at home and in business. Okay.

Speaker:

So. let's just kind of get a quick

Speaker:

breakdown. What is AI? So AI

Speaker:

stands for artificial intelligence, like I mentioned, and it is

Speaker:

technology that enables computers and machines to

Speaker:

simulate human intelligence. And problem solving

Speaker:

capabilities, over the past couple of years, they, the

Speaker:

emergence of AI. In our everyday

Speaker:

society has skyrocketed. And it's funny that I'm using

Speaker:

that word because when you use chat, GBT bed is one of the common

Speaker:

words that they use, but this is not a chat GPT

Speaker:

script. It literally has skyrocketed. Over the past

Speaker:

couple of years and it is prevalent just in everyday. Society is

Speaker:

very common now. So, I'm just going to share a few of the ways that

Speaker:

I use it in my business and how it supports me. When it

Speaker:

comes to the podcast, I use chat GPT, and I use this mainly

Speaker:

to get content ideas. Based on my target

Speaker:

audience. So I will put a prompt in explaining my

Speaker:

target audience. Maybe explaining the goal of a

Speaker:

particular episode or an idea for an episode that I

Speaker:

have, and I'll ask them to either spit out some, episode

Speaker:

titles, or if I already have an idea I'll X four. An

Speaker:

outline. Now I typically don't use

Speaker:

what they give me. Um, but it

Speaker:

jumpstarts my creativity, or I might like something like

Speaker:

their structure, but not necessarily their content. It really just

Speaker:

kind of gets my creative juices flowing. And gives me some

Speaker:

ideas of what I can, what I can talk about on the podcast.

Speaker:

Once I have recorded the episode. And then

Speaker:

I used a tool called cast magic. And this

Speaker:

tool is really for content repurposing. And

Speaker:

so how it works, you just upload your audio recording

Speaker:

into cast magic. And then it will spit out all

Speaker:

of these different types of content based on your

Speaker:

audio. So it'll spit out a newsletter. Uh,

Speaker:

social media posts. It'll pull out quotes, it'll give

Speaker:

episode title ideas. They also have a

Speaker:

chat. Where you can request Specific

Speaker:

prompts. So one of the things that I've been doing as I prepare

Speaker:

to start writing. Blog on my

Speaker:

website. Um, is that I've been asking it to create.

Speaker:

A blog polls and I give very specific language to

Speaker:

it. You can also ask them to change things like the tone or to

Speaker:

shorten or lift in the number of words,

Speaker:

things like that. So that's how I use, AI for the podcast.

Speaker:

Now in terms of landing pages. And emails

Speaker:

again, I'm using chat GPT. And

Speaker:

when I mentioned chat GBT, I'm on the free version. So I am not

Speaker:

paying for it. but when I'm using it, I am getting

Speaker:

specific language for.

Speaker:

Either a digital product or a service again,

Speaker:

based on my audience. So I will prompt it with.

Speaker:

My audience, demographics, psychographics, that type

Speaker:

of thing. And then I'm also getting.

Speaker:

Specific language using email frameworks.

Speaker:

And then I exit to do things like reword.

Speaker:

The existing content for a different tone, or just spit

Speaker:

out things like summaries, which I'll talk about in a second. So for example, with

Speaker:

the email frameworks, I have a framework for the structure of the

Speaker:

email. And then I will put in my, um,

Speaker:

my specific content, like upload a transcript of

Speaker:

my content and I'll ask them, I'll say, Using this

Speaker:

framework and based on my content. Create this

Speaker:

email. And then it'll spit out an email and then I

Speaker:

will edit the email from there. now when it comes to

Speaker:

the digital products, I'm going to give you guys an example. So With the

Speaker:

harmony private PAC has, there is a digital or workbook that

Speaker:

is attached to it, or that comes with it. And so I

Speaker:

created the workbook. Using. Chad GPT.

Speaker:

All right. In the workbook. There are six modules. And for each

Speaker:

module I have a summary and I say that it's in an AI

Speaker:

summary, right? But I put in the actual

Speaker:

transcript from each module and I asked it to create a

Speaker:

summary. And I put that summary.

Speaker:

Into the workbook and then the workbook also has questions,

Speaker:

but, um, those questions mainly I thought of

Speaker:

those questions. There might've been one or two that I

Speaker:

needed some, um, Mike prompting with and I was playing

Speaker:

around and Chad GBT with some questions. Okay.

Speaker:

Another example is that for the harmony

Speaker:

playlist, which is a freebie. it comes with the

Speaker:

playlist where you can listen to it on the podcast. Or it also

Speaker:

comes with a PDF summary. And so again, what I

Speaker:

did, I had the transcript of the

Speaker:

podcast episodes. I put that into chat GBT and

Speaker:

just exed it to create I think I said maybe a

Speaker:

two paragraph summary. based on the audio and

Speaker:

I, I took it, I edited it. I made

Speaker:

some, Subsequent requests in terms of tone and things like

Speaker:

that. And that's part of the freebie, the PDF summary.

Speaker:

along with the playlist. Okay. So that's just some examples of how I'm using

Speaker:

it for things like, you know, landing pages, emails, and digital

Speaker:

products. All right. Next, when it

Speaker:

comes to SLPs or standard operating procedures

Speaker:

in the business. One of the tools that I'm using is

Speaker:

called Komodo. And Komodo it's a

Speaker:

lot, like if you're familiar with these kinds of tools, it's a lot like

Speaker:

tango or scribe. And basically what it does.

Speaker:

his screen records, your actions, and then.

Speaker:

It will create a, how to guide. Based

Speaker:

on your actions. And so he's a really cool just how it creates the

Speaker:

guide. It's snapshots your screen at certain points and it

Speaker:

highlights where you click. And it gives, it gives

Speaker:

instructions for each step. Okay. And so that is

Speaker:

super helpful in trying to document a process

Speaker:

in your business. And so just while we're on the

Speaker:

topic of SOPs, I am

Speaker:

participating in the systemize and scale bundle. It is

Speaker:

taking place July 24th through the 31st.

Speaker:

And my resource for this particular bundle is the

Speaker:

simple SOP toolkit. And with this toolkit, you will.

Speaker:

Get access to my SOPs made easy

Speaker:

masterclass where I am. Breaking down

Speaker:

how to effectively write and manage SOPs. So

Speaker:

if that is something that is of interest to you, There is a link

Speaker:

in the show description to access this bundle, if you're

Speaker:

listening between July 24th through the 31st.

Speaker:

Right. And they all, when it comes to social media,

Speaker:

I don't use this heavily. Um, but

Speaker:

I'm using a tool called video tap. I recently found

Speaker:

this on AppSumo and I haven't 100%.

Speaker:

dug into it, but basically you upload a video and it will pull

Speaker:

out different clips that you can post on social media. And I'll have

Speaker:

the captions and all of that. Um, it's similar to another

Speaker:

popular tool that I cannot think of the name of right now,

Speaker:

but I also know that stream yard. It does the same thing. Now

Speaker:

my extreme year has this, this feature where you can, ex

Speaker:

ask it to find clips and it'll pull out clips

Speaker:

Or. 'cause I actually used it one time. It can pull a clip

Speaker:

for you, Or. you can look at the transcript and highlight

Speaker:

the part that you want to clip out and it'll pull that part out for

Speaker:

you. Okay, but I'm going to be using a tool called video tab.

Speaker:

And then again for social media, again, I'm using GPT or

Speaker:

cast magic to just kind of get ideas.

Speaker:

Um, one of the things that I did, if I'm looking just to get a

Speaker:

list, maybe a list of like 10 quick,

Speaker:

one-liners like punchy one liners, I'll put in a

Speaker:

particular topic and I'll ask it to spit me out these 10

Speaker:

one-liners and that just helps create content that way. All

Speaker:

right. So mainly what I'm using right now is Chad

Speaker:

GBT. CAS magic, Komodo

Speaker:

and, video. tap. And I'll link these in

Speaker:

the show description, if you want to check any of these out. But if you

Speaker:

are using any other tool, I'm pretty sure that they

Speaker:

have some type of AI functionality. Now I know.

Speaker:

Click up, which is the project management tool that I use. They have introduced,

Speaker:

um, Some type of AI support

Speaker:

and. You know, it's just everywhere. So look at the

Speaker:

tools that you are already using. And see if

Speaker:

they have some type of additional AI feature that might be

Speaker:

supportive to you. Okay, so in the home.

Speaker:

All right. I talked about the business now at home. How am I using these

Speaker:

AI tools? Mainly it is, um, Chad GBT

Speaker:

again, and I'm using it for a meal ideas.

Speaker:

Activity ideas. for like activities where the kids.

Speaker:

And then this last one, I actually saw this on social media. I have not

Speaker:

tried this, but someone said that they use Chad GPT

Speaker:

to like write a story. Um, they got their kid

Speaker:

involved and, you know, had them write a story. And then that was like their

Speaker:

bedtime story. for the night. Okay. And so,

Speaker:

Again, like I said, it can be super helpful and

Speaker:

supportive. For you just do your research and make sure you

Speaker:

are mixing AMAIZING, and using these tools to

Speaker:

your benefit. Now, the main thing that I want to say about this, about.

Speaker:

AI and what you should not do. Right. When it spits you

Speaker:

out, these different prompts do not use what you get word

Speaker:

for word. Okay. Because it has a certain,

Speaker:

um, I don't know it has a certain vibe, or you

Speaker:

can just tell that something is written. By AI

Speaker:

and you want to make sure that whatever it spits out to you. That

Speaker:

you. Recreate that or edit it. So that it

Speaker:

makes sense for your audience and so that it is any your

Speaker:

tone. Okay. Now if it's really good. You know, maybe

Speaker:

you do use a couple of sentences here or there, but just using

Speaker:

the whole entire. You know,

Speaker:

Sales page that they might give you. You just want to make sure that you

Speaker:

are still making it your own and making sure that

Speaker:

it has some authenticity to it. Okay. And Why I

Speaker:

use. These AI tools. I know some people are on

Speaker:

the fence about using them. It

Speaker:

literally saves me so much time, especially as a mom, I

Speaker:

have very limited working hours. And for example, the

Speaker:

other day I was working on. I have I'm updating all of

Speaker:

my email workflows and just having the framework.

Speaker:

With my content helps me to write these emails faster.

Speaker:

It helps me again, like I mentioned, spark creativity. And

Speaker:

it really just helps me to continue to get things done.

Speaker:

When my brain is. Fried after a

Speaker:

long day, because I've been dealing with decision fatigue. I mainly do my

Speaker:

work at night or I'm doing it on the weekends. And so after dealing with

Speaker:

the kids, having decision fatigue, Um, sometimes I might be

Speaker:

tired. It just still helps me to get things done. When my brain is

Speaker:

like, Okay, you've done enough for the day.

Speaker:

All right. So again, this is how I'm using AI tools to support

Speaker:

me at home and in business. But I would love to hear from

Speaker:

you. If you are using AI in your business,

Speaker:
